Q: What type of projects do the local Coos/Coquille OWEB Small Grants team looking for?
A: The local review team is made up of staff from the Confederated Tribes, The Coquille Indian Tribe, Tenmile Lakes Basin Partnership, the Coquille Watershed Association, the Coos Watershed Association, Umpqua SWCD and the Coos Soil and Water Conservation District. Projects that benefit aquatic species, wildlife, or waterway health are considered high priority are given the best chance for receiving up to $15,000 by the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) and they include: 1) improving in-stream process and function 2) fish passage 3) wetland and riparian improvement 4) road impact reduction 5) water quantity/irrigation efficiency For more information regarding the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board small grant program please contact our office:
